3X11Again, roles swap for Mulder and Scully as Scully believes that their current case involves religious phenomena while Mulder has a much more logical explanation.

Eleven priests all found dead had reportedly shown signs of stigmata but were all found to be fakes as is the latest victim who Mulder shows used strawberry sauce to impersonate blood. One young boy showing stigmata signs (blood pouring from wounds similar to Jesus' on the cross) does seem to be real though so Scully finds herself protecting the boy from the Millennium Man who is bent on stopping all stigmatics at any cost. Mulder thinks she is just being paranoid but after talking with a priest, Scully realizes protecting the boy is a way of reaffirming her faith. Unfortunately, it puts her in mortal danger.

Rating: 6 out of 10
A middle class episode made better by Gillian Anderson's performance as a Scully battling her religious beliefs. It's also refreshing to see the change of role for Mulder making the case seem all that more believable. Unfortunately, some of the acting by the guest stars is not too great and besides the Scully-religion sub-plot, the rest is pretty boring. OK.
Nitpicking
The thermometer put into the young boy's mouth when he's being tested at school is in fact a rectal thermometer (notice the colour at the end) but the nurse or Scully don't seem to realize this!
